Re: st: adoupdate installed a version for a Stata copy, newer than I have

I'm surprised this problem doesn't come up more often with adoupate. 
It would be nice if it could check to make sure you aren't installing 
an update that now requires a version of Stata you don't have.
Luckily, Roger Newson is very good about keeping old versions of his 
programs around for those who still need them. See
