Dear Nick,
To disagree slightly, the purpose of writing the email to the list was
to inform users and to elicit comments and suggestions from list users
who might have had this problem. I suspected that Patrick Royston
might be too busy to address this problem at this time, although I
also sent him an email about it.
I did note that -ice- had 643 hits in the Stata list archive.
