I've installed Stata 10 IC on my Ubuntu-8.10-PC by mounting the ISO-File
and am encountering the same (at least: a similar) problem with the
decimal seperator, Ulrich Kohler described in his mails to this list on
4 and 5 Jul 2007.
After starting xstata:
. display 4,9+5,9
4 14 9
. display 4.9+5.9
9
If I start stata from the command line:
. display 4.9+5.9
10.8
The latter seems to be correct. ;-)
Any ideas?
Best regards
