I had a data set that was a subset of another data set. The subset had
stuff lying around in _char list_ from a prior reshape, and those
interfered with a subsequent reshape. Is there an option to reshape,
that says "ignore what is in char list"? Should there be? How does one
clear the characteristics that have been left behind by reshape?
