I'm trying to use WinEdt (with Philip Greenwood's macro)

WinEdt to execute properly. I suspect this is a simple
config issue, but I can't put my finger on it. The problem
is that every time I try to execute a do file from within
WinEdt it spawns a new instance of Stata, instead of
executing in the same instance. What am I doing wrong,
and is the config issue in WinEdt, Stata, or Windows XP?

This happens if you call a do-file or a dta-file from outside
of Stata, no matter how you call it. I agree that it is
inconvenient, but that is how Stata (currently) handles this,
so don't blame yourself. (Maybe there is a solution, but I
never found it).
