You can oncover the full filenames in windoze2K Explorer by going
to Tools -> Folder Options and then clicking on the View tab, from
here the fourth tick box down is "Hide file extensions for known file
types". If this is unchecked you'll be able to see the .bin .exe and
any other file extensions which windows already recognizes (such
as .doc .xls .jpg .gif etc etc) when you look at the files in Explorer
(as well as having them listed in a seperate column).
I can't remember where this option is under different versions of
Windoze, but it'll be within the Folder Options (or just Options)
section somewhere.
