 I want to compute income summary statistics (mean and variance) and
gini index for peer groups of each individual without including the
income of the individual herself in the measure. I have individual
level data on income for individuals living in different villages
(which is my peer group). Let i denote individual and j denote
village. I essentially want to calculate mean income (-i)j, income
variance (-i)j, and gini index (-i)j. That is my summary measures for
the group varies at the individual level and this variation is
obtained by dropping individual i. I guess I need to use either the
egen command or probably will need to create a loop. However, I am
unsure about how to proceed. Any help would be highly appreciated.
