Dear listers,
I was wondering if someone could shed light on this issue: after
multiple imputation, is there a conceptual issue with using -mi
estimate, cmdok- with the -stpm2- module (available from ssc) for
flexible parametric survival models?
In the widely cited article (White IR, Royston P, Wood AM.Multiple
imputation using chained equations: Issues and guidance for
practice.Stat Med. 2011 Feb 20;30(4):377-99. doi: 10.1002/sim.4067)
there is a mention of potential fractional polynomial in the outcome
model after -mi-. However I am not sure if the fact that FPM's fit
splines differing in each imputation would make Rubin's rules
problematic.
I would greatly appreciate some insight.
