I guess that you have several variables whose names begin with "year", but not "year" itself.
So -tsset- aborted with error. Nothing dependent on -tsset- will work.
. d year*
should help to diagnose this problem. You need to give the _full_ variable name.

I mean when I run regression with tobit method and then I used "tsset
year, yearly" command, stata mentioned that "year ambiguous
abbreviation", so I do not know how to solve this problem.
