Can anybody help? Is nlcheck, after all, an appropriate test for checking linearity?
-nlcheck- is a user written program so per the Statalist FAQ you must
tell us where you got this from. Also per the Statalist FAQ you must
tell use exactly what you typed and what Stata told you in return. The
emphasis is on _exactly_.
The Statalist FAQ is not there as a set of useless rules, it is there
to help you ask question that can be answered.
I ran the examples that where provided in the helpfile of -nlcheck-
which I just downloaded from SSC and it does not give me any problems.
So there must be something special about your data, your model, your
version of -nlcheck-, your version of Stata, or something else that
deviates from the help file examples. The trick is now to pin down
what that is...
