st: Nostalgia for old example - bring back the bacon

There used to be an example in Stata books of an X-Y plot of the annual
production of pig meat against the size of the stock on farms, points
connected in time sequence. I can't trace a copy in the current manuals
or online.
Can anyone point me to a copy?
Is there a story behind its disappearance?
Are there any other good examples of time-ordered connection as the
counterpoint to sorting by X?
