-dropmiss- is one of mine. I don't think it has ever had a home on SSC, so it is no surprise that attempts to download from SSC do not work; that is, far from this link being broken, it never existed.
-dropmiss- was first made public in STB-60.
If your version of Stata is 6 or 7, you should use that link.
If your version of Stata is 8 up, you should install from the SJ 8-4 link below.

I am abroad and cannot use net install, findit, etc. because of a
proxy/firewall issue that my host institution insists is not
resolvable. I've been downloading ados and installing them by hand,
which is find, except that the link for DROPMISS --
http://fmwww.bc.edu/repec/bocode/d/dropmiss.ado -- seems to be broken,
and I can't find it anywhere else. Any advice would be much
appreciated.
