I am sure this is an easy question, but I havent figured out the best way to solve the following problem.

My aim is to estimate quantile regressions for different sub-populations in my sample. The distributions of my outcome variable differ across these subpopulations, but I want to estimate quantile effects using the rifreg command at exactly the same value of the outcome variable for every subsample.

More precisely: I am interested in the effect of income on Body Mass Index excactly at the value of BMI=30 for different subpopulations and BMI=30 is at different quantiles depending on the sub-population. How do I BEST back out the quantile where the value of my outcome BMI=30?

Is there any direct command?

Many thanks
