st: estimated rates and confidence intervals from stata count models

Using xtpois and related Stata commands, how does one get the confidence intervals for a fitted RATE when the model must include an offset. Postest saves the linear predictor (count) and its se, or rate (count/offset). There must be a solution to obtaining confidence intervals for fitted rates, but I'm missing it.
I would welcome suggested readings and examples of fitted rates with limits. Thanks.
