Just curious. Why the switch to a Mac? I ask because I'm thinking
about getting a Mac just to try it. Any advantages? Things to watch
for? Issues?
This is a religious issue, and one that is probably not appropriate
for Statalist. However, one reason a lot of scientists/researchers
have switched to OS X is that it gives you the full power of Unix in
an easy-to-use package with lots of "added goodness" (e.g., some great
OS X applications, direct interface to iPhone/iPod, what some people
consider to be a well-designed GUI, etc.).
