Dear Nick
In addition to -sampclus-, there is the program called "Optimal Design" which you can
download for free at
http://www.wtgrantfdn.org/resources/overview/research_tools/research_tools
That page has a link for the software as well as a very good manual that not only
explains how to use the software, but also provides great background information for power
calculations for cluster randomised trials.
Here are a couple of additional references that could be very useful.

Hi to all.
I was wondering if there is an ado available for sample size calculation of cluster randomised trials?
Many thanks,
Nick
