I presume that all users of Stata have the general intelligence to
comprehend phrases like "Windows only" and "Stata 9.2 for Windows" as
pertaining to the common usage of that word. After all, if you look at
commercial software online or at the store, it is common to see
phrases like 'requires Windows', 'requires Mac OS X', etc. I don't
think I need to insult users' intelligence by stating "Microsoft
Windows (TM)". I have never known a Mac OS user to consider that her
machine has 'Windows' unless she is running Boot Camp, Parallels,
VMWare Fusion or one of the other tools that allow Apple hardware to
run that OS from Microsoft.
