st: RE: RE: RE: RE: Procedure stcox fails in Stata 10
I hate to drag the readers here further into this issue while at the same time exposing the depth of my carelessness even further. However, in the interest of getting to the root cause of my problem, I think the culprit may be a shared ADO folder. One of my colleagues upgraded to Stata 11 earlier today and we use a shared ADO folder. He probably put the version 11 ADOs into the shared folder which I continued to use from my version 10. I also did an update ado after his install as well. I suspect this may have messed things up a little. - Pat G.

You should probably raise this issue with Tech Support. Installation issues
are not our core competence on the list...

Sorry, I did mix the variable names and dataset from the two different
examples. However, I do have some serious problems with my installation, as
retrying with correct variable names fails. I found another PC with Stata
10.1 installed and when I duplicated the same steps the stcox executes
without incident.
I have been needing to install my version 11 anyway!
Thanks,
Pat G.

The latest update did not even touch -stcox-, as seen in -help whatsnew-.
Last time it was even mentioned was for the update 16apr2009...

Did I corrupt my Stata install or has anyone else noticed a problem with
stcox all of a sudden? After applying latest updates, Oct 1 version, the
stcox procedure fails to execute. For example:
