In Stata, from the menu:
Edit | Preferences | Graph Preferences
Select Clipboard tab
Clipboard format (two radio buttons - I find WMF to hold onto its
shaded areas better when converted)
Then when you right click in a generated graph and chose copy (or Edit
| Copy graph from the window menu) , you are copying as a vector
drawing object of the selected type. When you paste into your
PowerPoint or other software capable of dealing with vector objects,
it can then be converted to an editable graphic.
> Is there a handy reference? A quick look at twoway help didn't indicate
> how to save as a vector object.

Everything is theoretically impossible, until it is done.
Progress is made by lazy men looking for easier ways to do things.
