If I understand correctly, you look for an equivalent of -tabdisp- but outputting results to TeX or HTML or whatever. As far as I know, this is not available, unfortunately -- I'd really be glad to be proved wrong!
One option would be to massage your 'file.dta' (-reshape-ing, -collapse-ing, -keep-ing, -drop-ping where necessary) until it's in a format the can be fed into -listtex-. Depending on complexity of the task, you might also be better off looking at -file- and programming your table from scratch.
