Thanks to Kit Baum an update to -fre- is available from SSC. -fre-
displays (or, optionally, exports) one-way frequency tables. To
install the update, type

 . ssc install fre, replace

or use the -adoupdate- command.

Changes:

o -fre- crashed if labels contained unmatched left single quotes
("`"); this is fixed.

o -fre- did not display a table if -subpop()- was specified and there
were 0 observations in the subsample; this is fixed.

PS: The issue with unmatched left single quotes in strings has been
discussed on statalist a couple of days ago (see
http://www.stata.com/statalist/archive/2009-01/msg01151.html and
follow-ups). -fre- now handles all labels in Mata to prevent these
problems.
