I don't recall the details of your previous thread on axis range, but I
think that the question was answered. 

As for the legend, standard options -ring()- and -pos()- allow you to
move it around.

Ok. I mentioned in a previous post of trying to get my y-axis to have a
smaller range than my data's range. Here's another I thought of: Moving
you legend from the bottom to somewhere within the graph. What about
annotating the elements in the graph? These are extremely easy in R.
