Thanks to Maarten for the plugs. 

Please note that although the -spineplot- program is identical on SSC
and from the SJ files, the help file from the SJ is more up-to-date.
Hence install from the SJ files (and get hold of a copy of the article!)


The circle is completed by noting that -spineplot- grew out of a thread
on this list started by Matthias Schonlau, with contributions by
Maarten, Scott Merryman and Peter Jepsen.
