32-bit Stata 10 for Windows will run happily on a 64-bit Windows (e.g.
64-bit XP Server, and there should be no diff with Vista), but then
you will not enjoy all the possibilities that a 64-bit Windows
provides, like >2GB memory for example. This is because Windows
provides WOW64 technology which allows older 32-bit programs to work
in the newer 64-bit environment. Perhaphs it is different in the Mac
World? And the response from Stata Technical Support refered to MacOS?
Don't generalize that, however, on all OSes.
