Dear Statalisters:

I run the -adoupdate, update- command. Everything goes smoothly (no error message) and about 10 packages are updated.

However, if I run immediately the same command, I don't understand why I get the same list of packages to be updated and which are updated (for the second time).

For your information, when I type -sysdir-, I get the following result:

 sysdir
   STATA: C:\Program Files\Stata10\
 UPDATES: C:\Program Files\Stata10\ado\updates\
    BASE: C:\Program Files\Stata10\ado\base\
    SITE: C:\Program Files\Stata10\ado\site\
    PLUS: c:\ado\plus\
PERSONAL: c:\ado\personal\
OLDPLACE: c:\ado\

Best regards
