st: tabulation

Dear Stalist I have this a dataset:
id postalcode region state
1  01         2       2
1   01        2       2
1   02        2       2
2      05     8      9
2      05      8    9

My id are people that I have , if make the tab by postalcode I have 3  
postalcode
with 2 id with a total of obs = 5
If I want know how many person are by postal code, How can I do this?
