Thanks to Kit Baum, an update to the -fre- package is available from
the SSC Archive. To install the update, type
. ssc install fre, replace
or use the -adoupdate- command.
-fre- displays/exports one-way frequency tables.
Changes:
o The default maximum -width()- for the labels column
has been increased to 50. However, the width of the
labels column now adjusts to the width of the screen
(i.e. the maximum width is automatically reduced so
that the table fits in -c(linesize)-, see help
-set linesize-).
o The default is now to display the smallest 20 and
largest 20 values for variables with many categories
(the old default, 10, seemed a bit low).
o Codes and labels are now placed in separate columns
(unless the new -combine- option is specified).
