Starting a Wiki is very straightforward:

There is an SPSS wiki there:

The wiki idea is intriguing and could be done regardless of any
changes in Statalist. Having said that, I just looked at the SPSS
wiki, and almost every link I clicked on said "You've followed a link
to a page that doesn't exist yet." (The Marvel Comics Wiki is kind
of nice though!) To make this idea fly, I suspect you either need
* A computer whiz kid grad student who'd rather work on web pages
than his or her dissertation
* Somebody's 14 year old kid who'd be willing and able to get the shell set up
* Some startup effort by Statacorp
If somebody would get a bare bones wiki set up, perhaps others would
be willing to submit sections on the programs they have written. I'd
be willing to do something on oglm and gologit2 (provided I could
figure out how to do it!)
Incidentally, Stata does have a minimalist web page on
Wikipedia. People might consider fleshing it out:
