Dear all,
I tried to run "spatwmat" command with
Stata/SE 9.1, which was subsequently rejected
by the following error:
**************************************************
. spatwmat,name(W) xcoord(longitude) ycoord(latitude)
band(0 10000) binary eigenval(E)
obs must be between 859 and 174761
r(198);
. which spatwmat
c:\ado\plus\s\spatwmat.ado
*! -spatwmat- Generates different kinds of spatial weights
matrices
*! Version 1.1 - 30 August 2003
*! Version 1.0 - 29 January 2001 STB-60 sg162
.....
. summarize longitude latitude
Variable | Obs Mean Std. Dev.
Min Max
-------------+--------------------------------------------------------
longitude | 859 750332.2 194484.9
369304.2 1197873
latitude | 859 1604766 390855
645344.8 2252090
**************************************************
As in the result of "summarize",
the dataset contains 859 records.
The author says spatwmat successfully ran
on his computer. Therefore, this
problem might be due to incompatibility
between settings of Stata.
Have anybody experienced this problem?
