st: local: dir

Dear statalist,

I tried to store a list of directories in current folder like -fs- does 
for later use in -foreach-.

. local i: dir "." dir "*"

. di `i'
europa_500000_mapinfoprogshapefiles

Unfortunately as you can see that all the folder names were stored as 
one string.
Do you have any suggestions how to correct this or where to look further.
