st: Re: backing up ado files
Correct, but note that anything downloaded by "net search" or "ssc"
will NOT be in the directory quoted below; it will be in ~/ado/plus.
You should have a "personal" ado-directory, ~/ado/personal, on the
ado-path. But when Stata installs non-official ado-files, they go in
~/ado/plus/letter where letter=(_,a-z}.

Not necessarily. It depends where you put things.
- -adopath- will indicate all the directories you can
(currently) use for ados. Or, rather if you put them anywhere
else, Stata cannot (currently) see them.
- -cd- and the story might change.

Is backing up my treasured collection of ado files simply a matter of
backing up the directory C:\Program Files\Stata9\ado?
