st: How to do cross-hatchings & other such patterns in Stata-9 bar graphs?

Greetings,

I have not found a way to produce cross-hatchings or other such fill 
patterns in Stata 8-9's bar graphs (including that Michael Mitchell's 
excellent "Stata Graphics" book doesn't say how).  Is there a way to 
produce such patterns in Stata?
