Dear all,
I am not sure if this has been reported but when I use
-svytotal- in Stata 8.2, the saved results do not
match the output:
. svytotal nons
Survey total estimation
pweight: discwt
Number of obs = 7521922
Strata: stratum
Number of strata = 623
PSU: hospid
Number of PSUs = 10394
Population size = 37192136
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total | Estimate Std. Err. [95% Conf.
Interval] Deff

nons | 37153514 395094 3.64e+07
3.79e+07 818258.6

. return list
scalars:
r(N) = 7521922
r(N_strata) = 1
r(N_psu) = 7521922
r(N_pop) = 7521922
r(estimate) = .9987735847300729
r(Var) = 1.62845525174e-10
r(Var_srs) = 1.62845525165e-10
r(errcode) = 0
-svytotal- report a population estimate of over 37
million and saved results r(estimate) is less than 1.
What am I missing?
Thank you,
Ricardo.
