Stata, as Stata, does not support time-of-day formats.
Everything you do with this kind of data depends
on other parts of Stata.
There is nothing to stop you producing
string variables with contents of this
kind. However, working with the numeric
equivalent would require being able
to distinguish (e.g.) 09:15 and 09:16 reliably
and precisely. Integer representations
might thus be preferred.
