Hi all,
I am having a problem using "dolog" when the "svyset" command is
contained in the do-file. You can see the error below. Does anyone
know why this happens? It runs fine when I just type "do [filename]".
Is there a solution?
Thanks,
Danielle
It is clear from your trace that you are using Stata 8, and that the
error is taking place inside -svyset-, and not inside -dolog- outside
-svyset-. The -dolog- package is Stata 6. This should not, in principle,
be a problem, because -svyset- has its own local version control.
However, version control has been known not to work as it appears to be
advertised, and StataCorp would probably like to know of any instances
of this happening, so they can correct them.
Have you tried using -dolog8- (part of the -dologx- package downloadable
from SSC) instead of -dolog-? I wrote -dologx- for use with
certification scripts, which should not contain -version- statements,
and it contains ado-files -dolog6.ado-, -dolog7.ado- and -dolog8.ado-,
written in Stata 6, 7 and 8, respectively. What happens if you use
-dolog8- and/or -dolog7- instead of -dolog-?
Best wishes
Roger
