The main issue I have with the Mac OSX version of Stata when exporting
to PDFs is that they do not have a native implementation. Rather they
just piggyback off OSX's print preview which converts the file to a
PDF. The problem is that the resulting file is in letter format (or
whatever your print setup is). Thus you have to go in and edit it
afterwards. Another issue is the inability to print the graphic with a
transparent background (so that it can be layered with other text or
graphics later).
I have mentioned both of these issues to StataCorp and hope to see
them addressed (eventually).
