st: Problem with --update ado--

After recently installing Stata/SE 8 for Windows on my new computer I
tried installing the latest official updates. Stata starts downloading
the various ado files but then stops midway through this process and
gives the following message (in red):

"unexpected end of file" 
r(612);

Have others run into this problem as well?
