Sorry Paul, apparently I have the newer, but still unpublished
version (1.5 30May2001). The published version is 1.0 from 1998.
You may wish to contact the authors for the latest version
(which does contain the -counts- option):

So, the answer is that the code can be modified to provide what
you want (and such has been done but is not yet publicly available).
It may be that your query will prompt Michael and coauthors to
