Kit Baum has very kindly placed on SSC the -gphepssj- package, a small
"futility" I wrote for myself and other SJ authors. (Thanks, Kit, for that,
and also for correcting a couple of typos in the .hlp file.)
The -gphepssj- package takes, as input, a list of unextended file names
name_1 ... name_n, and translates the Stata graph files name_1.gph ...
name_n.gph to Encapsulated PostScript files name_1.eps ... name_n.eps, with
the default -xsize- (3.12 inches) and -ysize- (2.392 inches) for SJ
figures. -gphepssj- is intended to enable SJ authors to preview their SJ
inserts (using SJ LaTeX) with the figures at the right size, without typing
multiple -translate- commands and having to find out and/or remember the
default sizes (which Jeff Pitblado told us about the other day on
Statalist). It should be stressed, of course, that the SJ editors prefer to
receive the original .gph files in a SJ submission, so they can tweak them
manually.
Best wishes
Roger
