One possibility is that the "1" in the "agec6" is not the value of the -agec6-
variable, but a value label instead, and that the actual value of -agec6- is
2, but is labeled as a 1.
If, after checking for this, you are still exhibiting weird behavior let
me know and I can take a closer look.
