In addition to the books that Nick Cox has suggested and his general
advice on moving forward, you could see if any of the videos I have
created about programming in Stata are useful. You can find my videos

StataCorp also has a Youtube channel with many, many excellent videos.

The difference between the two sets of videos is that I focus on on
programming using *.do files while StataCorp shows you how to use
Stata using dialogue menus.
