Subject | Re: st: aweights not allowed in Stata 13 qreg?! |

Mustafa Hussien <mhussei4@uthsc.edu> discovered that -qreg- does support aweights as of the September 19, 2013 update. We removed support for -aweights- because the interpretation of the estimates does not fit with the definition of -aweights- as accounting for cell-mean data. Mustafa can use iweights to obtain analogous behavior; iweights are importance weights whose meaning is user defined. Specifically, Mustafa could specify as iweights the original weights divided by their mean.
