Recent Stata formats are: (dta113: v8,v9)-(dta114: v10,v11)-(dta115:
v12)-(dta117: v13).
Saveold in Stata 13 saves to dta115.
Stata 10 can't open data in dta115.
Instead use regular -save- in Stata 13 to obtain a file in dta117.
Then use command -use13- (by Sergiy Radyakin, me) to open resulting
file in Stata 10.

Hope this helps, Sergiy Radyakin

Even when I use the -saveold- command it tells me the data file has been created by a more recent version of stata and to see if I want to update or upgrade (this in Stata 10). I have tried -update all- in the Stata 10 version but it tells me that there is nothing to update. So three questions: Is someone else having the same problem? Is this a known bug and it's being fixed? Or should I uninstall the update and how can I do that?
