Dear All,
A new package, chinafin, is now available on SSC. We thank Prof.
Kit Baum, not only for his testing the code and maintaining SSC, but
also for his contributions when the code is firstly designed.
Users who want to access to financial reporting data for China's
listed firms may find it quite useful and easy to use.
Suppose you want to download the annual report data for Bao Steel
(with a stock code 600019), simply use the following command:
chinafin 600019
then a stata data file (600019.dta) containing historical financial
reporting data for Bao Steel will be saved to your default directory
(you can also change it to other folders as you wish).
From now on, for accessing chinese tradding data, use "cntrade
codelist" command, and for financial reporting data, use "chinafin
codelist"
Links for both codes are as following:
chinafin: http://econpapers.repec.org/software/bocbocode/s457696.htm
cntrade: http://ideas.repec.org/c/boc/bocode/s457580.html
Hope you find this code useful and give me feedbacks if you find there
is any problem with our code.
Best
Chuntao Li (Tony)
