Thanks to Isabel for the explanation.
However, I think it is usual to fit random effects meta-analysis models
using restricted maximum likelihood (REML) estimation if possible.
-xtmixed-/-mixed- has a -reml- option, could I ask if StataCorp have
any plans to add a -reml- option to -meglm-?
