No. Afaik not in Stata<=12.1
This could be a useful feature.
If you need it manually, there is a "change working directory..."
coomand in the file menu.
if you need it programmatically, I would suggest you let the user
select any file from the
desired directory, then remove the file-name to show only the folder name.
