Aha! I was looking in -mregress.ado- (did not have that statement) , which calls _msregress.ado, which in turn did have that statement. I missed an "m"!

Using -mmregress- from SJ10-2 st0173_1, it seems that you need to comment that out in -mmregress.ado-, not -msregress.ado-. I tried it and the message is not shown when using -mmregress-.
