Hi everybody. I thought this announcement might be of interest to the list. Scott Long is the author or co-author of the popular spost9 package of routines and of two books published by Stata Press: http://www.stata.com/bookstore/workflow-data-analysis-stata/index.html and http://www.stata.com/bookstore/regression-models-categorical-dependent-variables/index.html. I understand he is working on a new edition of his categorical data analysis book and that one of the workshops will talk about the new commands that are being developed for it.

----------------

There are two workshops by Scott Long this summer that use Stata.

ICPSR Summer Program Workshop on The Workflow of Data Analysis using Stata: June 17-21 at the Center for Research on Families at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.

ICPSR Summer Program Workshop on Models for Categorical Outcomes Using Stata: July 8-12 at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. This workshop focus on using Stata along with new SPost commands for using margins.

For questions, feel free to contact Scott Long ([email protected]), check his web page www.indiana.edu/~jslsoc/index.htm, or the ICPSR site www.icpsr.umich.edu/icpsrweb/sumprog/index.jsp.
