Thanks to Kit Baum, a new Stata command written by Sergiy Radyakin is
now available from the SSC archives:
GEOCHART - creates interactive map web page from Stata data using a
Google-provided service. Geochart is compatible with Stata 9.0 or
later and is platform-independent. GEOCHART creates an HTML document
that contains an interactive map based on Stata data. No shape file is
required to produce a map. Internet connection is required to view the
map since it uses Google's Geochart engine to procuce the map.

To install GEOCHART type in Stata's command prompt:
findit geochart
or
ssc install geochart
