Hi everyone,
Thanks to Kit Baum, an updated version of my -scdensity- package is
now available from SSC (see -ssc des scdensity- for a package
description and download instructions).
There also exists an accompanying paper now ("Self-consistent density
estimation", co-authored by Alberto Bernacchia) which will appear in
the Stata Journal, a pre-publication draft can be found here:
http://plaza.ufl.edu/joerg.luedicke/sj_scdensity_wt.pdf
Major updates include:
o an implementation of a non-negativity correction method
o an additional program (-scdcor-) which facilitates comparisons
between original and corrected estimates
o an -at()- option for user defined grids
o density plots support -twoway_options- now
The package is still work in progress and other features will probably
be added in the future (for example, bivariate density estimation). So
any comments, criticism, suggestions, etc. are most welcome! Please
use the email address that is shown in the package's help files.
All the best,
Joerg
